Social Bridges Groups Spring - 2008

Kdg. - 1st Grade - Wednesday

2nd - 3rd Grade - Thursday

3rd - 4th Grade - Tuesday

4th - 5th Grade - Thursday

5th  - 6th Grade - Thursday

Teen Boys - Monday

Adolescents - Tuesday

               Specialized Needs - Middle School - Monday                       (This session is designed to meet the needs of children as it relates to a specific disability i.e. language disorders, high-functioning autism, Asperger's Syndrome, etc.

               Specialized Needs - Early Elementary - Saturday                      (This session is designed to meet the needs of children as it relates to a specific disability i.e. language disorders, high-functioning autism, Asperger's Syndrome, etc.

Summer Sessions!

June 16 - 20:  Intensive 10 hour training meeting daily for two hours.  Intended as refresher for Social Bridges graduates or a jump start for new participants.

6th - 8th Grade

Social Bridges Twist Camp!

June 23 - 27: - Social  Bridges with a Twist Camp - For children who have completed some training.  Reinforce and practice skills while enjoying competitive and cooperative activities with social coaching.  Activities include:

  • Early elementary (K-3):  drama, cooking, games

  • Upper elementary (4th-5th grades):   drama, team building, art 

  • Middle school (6th - 8th grades):  drama, team building, technology

 

Social Bridges™ groups are offered throughout the school year.  All groups (except clubs) include:

  • Parent orientation for new families
  • One parent training session*
  • An individual parent checkpoint conference with the facilitators
  • Children's group sessions
  • An individual final parent conference with facilitators
  • Weekly individual updates on your child's progress

*New:  Based on feedback from families, we are including one parent training session to provide hands-on experience.  This training session will include reinforcement activities parents can use at home to encourage their child to use social skills in other settings.
